Eraser

For Navika

This is not the end of the world

But the beginning of one that is your own.

I am forgetting how to talk about you

You who made my days dark

And heart combust like a coalmine

Collapsing over the ones who built it:

An accident, it seems.

I am forgetting how to think about you

And how my finger drew infinities

on your skin while you caressed

the edge of a black hole

And tore it apart at the seams.

I am forgetting how to cry about you

You who made the apple break

And broke the eye, broke the damn

Dam, rushing down the sides of my face:

Escaping moonbeams.

I am forgetting everything about you

And learning how to heal myself and win

My own trust back, my body back,

My self back, My love back, my loss back:

To erase the shadow left in my dreams.
